  • Background: John Johnson hails from a rural town in central Iowa. He was raised on a small family farm where he developed a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. John attended Jefferson High School, where he excelled both academically and athletically, participating in football and track, and earning recognition for his leadership skills in Future Farmers of America (FFA).

  • Education: After graduating high school, John pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University. He was actively involved in campus life, serving as the president of the Engineering Student Council and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity during his summers.

  • Career: Upon graduation, John accepted a position as a mechanical engineer at a renewable energy technology company based in Des Moines. He is passionate about sustainability and has been involved in several projects focused on improving wind turbine efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.

  • Family: John comes from a close-knit family with strong agricultural roots. His parents still run the family farm, which has been in their family for generations. He has a younger sister, Emily, who is studying veterinary medicine at Iowa State.

  • Interests: In his free time, John enjoys hiking in the nearby state parks, woodworking in his garage, and volunteering at the local animal shelter. He is also an enthusiastic supporter of the Iowa State Cyclones football team and attends games whenever he can.
